Meeting #1-Overview and Review

Our first meeting will be in the ARF next Friday, February 3 at 2PM. I will talk to Sherry today and see if Rm 101 is available. If not, I will reserve the atrium. For next week, I thought it might be useful to start with a general overview/review of material culture studies and materiality. The focus will be on defining materiality and discussing some of the ways that it has been approached within archaeology/anthropology and beyond.
